KNOXVILLE — A father and neighbor set up ladders this morning to rescue two toddlers from their burning house in West Knoxville.
About 2:15 a.m. the homeowner at 543 Noelton Dr. called 911 saying his house was on fire and his two toddlers were trapped upstairs in their cribs, according to Knoxville Fire Department Capt. D.J. Corcoran.
The homeowner set up a ladder outside the house and gained entry through a window. Next-door neighbor Maurizio Condi called 911 after hearing screams from the parents and also set up a ladder outside the burning house, according to Corcoran.
