ROGERSVILLE - Day one of Kenneth Wayne Taylor’s homicide trial Monday accomplished nothing besides seating a jury and establishing that certain documents sought by the defense apparently do not exist.
Taylor, a 54-year-old former bodybuilder, is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the November 2007 strangulation death of his teenage foster child, Jordan Kaleb Shelton.
Taylor’s defense attorney, Herbert Moncier, does not dispute that Shelton died as the result of injuries Taylor inflicted at Taylor’s former Pinewood Circle home in West Hamblen County.
