$500,000 in drugs found in Jonesborough pot growing operation

October 6th, 2009 12:00 am by Staff Report

Law enforcement authorities shut down a large hydroponic marijuana growing operating in Washington County and were searching for people of interest in the case, Sheriff Ed Graybeal announced today.

Late Monday evening, a joint task force descended on 565 Headtown Road in Jonesborough to serve a search warrant and found the drug operation, Graybeal said in a news release.

"Officers were surprised by the sophisticated operation that they encountered inside the residence," Graybeal said in the news release.
