The Greeneville Sun is reporting that a western Greene County man was charged with first-degree murder Monday in connection with the death of a Hamblen County woman whose body was recovered beside I-81 in Jefferson County on Saturday night.
Leonard Paris Hill, 47, 4100 Fish Hatchery Road, admitted he had strangled Presley with a "white nylon string" at his home Friday night and then took her body to Jefferson County and dumped it.
Bond for Hill was set at $750,000 and he was scheduled to be arraigned in General Sessions Court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff said.
Burns said an investigation that began on Friday night revealed that Hill and Presley had known each other for some time and that Presley sometimes had stayed at Hill's residence.
