The Greeneville Sun is reporting that Midway United Methodist Church canceled its Sunday morning services because of swine flu cases among the congregation.
One member of the church has been hospitalized and quarantined with the virus and nine other members are ill, according to pastor, the Rev. Jerry Holt.
Rev. Holt said Sunday afternoon that 10 members of his congregation had swine flu, although that has not been confirmed. He also told the Sun that he had received written information about the virus from the Greene County Health Department.
Rev. Holt said the hospitalized member of his congregation is doing "real good" now, and the other infected members are being treated and responding well to medication. The outbreak started last week after the church's Vacation Bible School.
