In an earlier story the Sun reported that DNA testing may be the only way to identify the person firefighters found in the burned out remains of a mobile home.
Calvin Hawkins, field operations supervisor for Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services, said a DNA sample from the body will be sent to a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation laboratory.
Hawkins said another DNA sample from a relative of the woman in whose residence the body was found will be sent to a TBI lab for comparison.
The body was discovered by volunteer firefighters from the DeBusk and Orebank volunteer fire departments while they were fighting a fire that destroyed the single-wide mobile home early Tuesday.
