BLOUNTVILLE — The search advisory committee for a new Northeast State Technical Community College president narrowed the field of 11 semifinalists to four finalists on Wednesday.
The finalists are to be interviewed by the committee the week of June 8. Those to be interviewed in their quest to replace Bill Locke, who is slated to retire June 30, are Steven R. Campbell, vice president for business affairs at Northeast; R. Foster Chason, vice president for student affairs and athletic director at Walter State Community College in Morristown; Janice Hoots Gilliam, vice president of student development services at Haywood Community College in Clyde, N.C.; Katherine High, chief of staff for the University of Tennessee system in Knoxville.
Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Charles Manning will confer with committee members after the interviews and make a final recommendation to the TBR. The position drew 27 candidates, 25 who had the required doctoral degree.
