The Greeneville Sun is reporting that Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers, Inc. (V&M) will move its office in Greeneville to  Gray effective June 1.

"By relocating the office, the firm strengthens its presence and service offerings into a more centrally located area of Upper East Tennessee," Vaughn & Melton said in a release.

The Gray office will be in Suncrest Professional Plaza at 127 Bob Fitz Road.

"When everyone is selling gloom and despair, we are certainly happy to report that our presence and resolve in East Tennessee is stronger than ever," said Randolph J. Scott, V&M's CEO, in a news release.

He added, "Upper East Tennessee has been a key part of V&M's strategic growth plan for more than 40 years, and this new centrally located office creates a number of exciting opportunities for us, while maintaining the ability to serve our existing clients throughout the area."

Though Vaughn & Melton will be closing its Greeneville office, which is a leased building at 219 W. Depot St. across from the U.S. District Couthouse, another company executive said, "We hope to keep all of our Greeneville clients."

V & M's Greeneville office has 10 employees.
