The Tennessean is reporting that a Rutherford County teen was injured and both of his parents killed after a triple shooting late Wednesday at a Halls Hill Pike home.
Suspect Daniel Adam Hazlett, 24, of 2077 East Trimble Road, is the accused trigger man, as well as a relative of the shooting victims. He will face two charges of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder before a General Sessions judge April 14.
Deceased as a result of the shooting are Kevin Adams and his wife, Mary Jane, according to police. Both were 43.
“Kevin Adams died not long after arriving at (Middle Tennessee Medical Center) and ... Mary Jane passed away early this morning at (Vanderbilt University Medical Center),” said Detective Sgt. Dan Goodwin of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
