Morristown work session turns into gripe session between councilmen, city manager

April 8th, 2009 12:00 am by Staff Report

According to the Morristown Citizen Tribune a City Council work session called to discuss discretionary spending by Morristown City Administrator Jim Crumley turned into a gripe session that pitted Crumley against council members Rick Trent and Kay Senter.

Council member Claude Jinks sided with Trent and Senter, who are seeking re-election on May 5, in the donnybrook. Last year, Jinks openly supported firing Crumley.

The city administrator told his critics that "they have to be very careful about micromanagement."
