Morristown police arrest stabbing suspect

According to a report in the Morristown Citizen Tribune an arrest has been made in a stabbing incident that occurred Friday night.

David Paul Martin, 34, no address given, was with his girlfriend and Clyde Leverton at a "campsite" near South Economy Road, according to a police report.

Leverton allegedly made rude comments toward Martin’s girlfriend and an argument ensued. During the argument, Martin allegedly used a "knife or other sharp cutting instrument" to attack Leverton.

After the alleged assault, Leverton reportedly ran toward East Morris Boulevard where he flagged down a motorist for help.
