According to a report in the Tennessean the Metro school district is launching a one-by-one review of 4,800 support employees after it hired a Donelson Middle School teacher wanted in Chattanooga on sex-crime charges.
Each employee file will be checked, with particular attention given to applications and background checks.
"There has been no decision on how/if fingerprinting will be required for staff employed prior to 2002 and, if required, how that would be funded," Brown wrote.
Ronald Boykin, 40, was arrested March 22 after an officer stopped him for making an illegal left turn and discovered he was wanted on 3-year-old charges dating to his time as an employee in Hamilton County.
