The Knoxville News Sentinel is reporting that a Halls High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave with pay because of allegations he sexually harassed two female students as well as a former student, Knox County Schools records show.
Kenneth Davis Jr., 48, an English teacher who was approved as a substitute in 1996 and tenured in 1999, was notified of the decision to place him on leave March 26. He couldn't be reached for comment Thursday.
Davis allegedly sent a text message to a former student that triggered a complaint by the girl's parents to law enforcement, records show, and another student complained to school administrators about a conversation "regarding her relationship with a male student."
A third allegation concerned an incident at a concession stand where David allegedly tried to bet a student $400 "if she took her clothes off," records say.
