The Knoxville News Sentinel is reporting that two men who allegedly jumped into a teen's vehicle at a turnpike intersection early Monday morning and stole $150 and a cell phone remain jailed today, police said.

Xezavis Troupe, 20, and Alexander Harris, 18, both of Oak Ridge, are charged with aggravated robbery and attempted carjacking.

Troupe has an extensive criminal history that includes a previous carjacking charge, records show.

According to warrants, Troupe and Harris entered a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by the victim while it was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Rutgers Avenue and Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Oak Ridge Police Capt. Rick Stone said the teen driver fought with the armed duo during the 1 a.m. incident, and a magazine for one of the assailants' weapons fell out during the struggle.
