The Morristown Citizen Tribune is reporting that a man accused of three unprovoked assaults last week has continued to get himself into trouble, even while being housed at the Hamblen County Jail.
When Hamblen County deputies Dustin Hill and Jeremy Shaw opened the cell door to give Andre Olden, 29, Choctaw Street, Morristown, some medication, the man reportedly unleashed yet another assault, this time on the deputies.
Olden allegedly struck Hill in the face and chest before Shaw used his Taser.
The Taser only brought a brief reprieve, however, as it became ineffective when Olden fell to the floor. Olden then reportedly went outside through a rear door against the deputies’ orders.
Hill and Shaw chased Olden around the facility and Olden reportedly managed to kick Shaw twice in the chest before he was maced.
Olden is now charged with felony escape and two counts of assault on an officer.
