Parents protest at Rogersville school because teacher charged with assault is still in the classroom

February 11th, 2009 12:00 am by Staff Report

According to a Rogersville blogger,  a group of about six parents, with a few occasional drop-ins, picketed outside Hawkins Elementary School Wednesday to protest because 4th grade science teacher,Veleka Setsor, is still in the classroom.

Setsor was charged last week with aggravated assault following an argument with her 18-year old daughter.  The matter is still under investigation and until it is resolved an aide has been placed in the classroom with Setsor.
