The Bristol Herald-Courier is reporting that Northeast State Technical Community College continues to be the area's hottest education destination with a record number of students signing up
The Northeast State registrar’s office reported total enrollments are up 10 percent over the 2008 total spring enrollments of 4,795. As of Jan. 26 more than 5,250 part-time and full-time students have signed up for the 2009 spring term.
Northeast State President Dr. William Locke told the Herald-Courier that the enrollment reflects the continued confidence of the public in the academic programs offered by the college.
Locke also said d programs offered through the Health Related Professions division continues to attract students at the new Regional Center for Health Professions (RCHP) in downtown Kingsport.
