2 charged with being party to felony first-degree murder in Greeneville shootout

The Greeneville Sun is reporting that  two men have beeen charged with being parties to  felony first-degree murder in connection with the  Jan. 16, shooting death of a Greene County man.

Sheriff Steve Burns is quoted in the story saying that Kenneth Monroe, 22, and Gregory Monroe Anderson, 22, both of the Freshour Trailer Park in Chuckey, have been charged in connection with the death of Zachary Ryan Nave, 21.

Bond was set at $300,000 each. Both were to be arraigned in General Sessions Court today.

Other charges are expected, but the sheriff didn't specify against whom they might be placed.

The shooting incident left two other men wounded.

They were identified as:

- Travis D. Monroe, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is the brother of Kenneth Monroe and a cousin of Gregory Anderson; and

-  Brendan A. Royer, 28, who is Nave's roommate, who was wounded in the right foot.
