According to a Greeneville Sun report Sheriff Steve Burns said Monday investigators are still trying to find out what happened and have not filed charges in connection with the fatal shooting of Zachary Ryan Nave, 21, about 9:15 p.m. in the basement of his residence at 2415 107 Cutoff.
Two suspects are still being held at the Greene County Detention Center while a third continues to be treated at the Johnson City Medical Center for gunshot wounds suffered in the Friday exchange of gunfire.
Burns said an apparent exchange of gunfire inside the basement left Nave's roommate, Brendan A. Royer, wounded in the right foot, and Travis D. Monroe 19, of Freshour Trailer Park, Chuckey, suffering from three gunshot wounds.
