New lead ignites cold Morristown murder probe, reward offered

New information about a 6-year-old Hamblen County murder case has transferred the investigation from the cold-case file to a front-burner priority, according to Hamblen County Sheriff Esco Jarnagin.

According to the Morristown Citizen-Tribune, a new lead in the killed of Michelle "Mickey" Moore, 50, has surfaced and is being processed by the TBI.

Moore was  murdered outside her Turley Mill Road home off of Cherokee Drive in north Hamblen County in March 2003.

A cash reward is also being offered for information that leads to the conviction of the individual responsible for the homicide.
