Morristown trailer park, Utility System feud heads for federal court

December 19th, 2008 12:00 am by Staff Report

According to a report in the Morristown Citizen-Tribune the financial dispute between Morristown Utility Systems and the owners of Western Estates trailer park is headed for court.

Western Estates, also  known as Liberty Hill Trailer Park, has filed a federal lawsuit suit against  MUS  over a $35,000 water bill that business CEO Susan Nerland argues she doesn't owe.

The lawsuit alleges that MUS undercharged Western Estates residents during the 11-month period that the utility was directly billing individual Western Estates residents.

The $35,000 cited in the suit represents the difference between what MUS charged Western Estates residents and the amount of water that flowed through the trailer parks two master meters, according to the lawsuit.
