The Morristown Citizen-Tribune is reporting that the war of words over a proposed shooting range in Hamblen County is hearting up.
Commissioner Paul LeBel again fired a volley of criticism at the county Planning Commission Monday but this time two commissioners returned the fire.
Gaston Cline accused LeBel of publicly attacking the commission "just to get your name in the paper."
According to the Citizen-Tribune report, Cline made several references to the controversy being reported "in the paper" and LeBel finally asked, "Have you ever heard of the Sunshine Law? That says this (a public meeting) is the proper forum for this discussion, not behind closed doors."
LeBel not the only critic of the planning commission's OK of a shooting range in the Whitesburt community, but he isn't the only critic. Other commissioners have talked about their concerns over the issue.
