Sullivan County grand jury hands down drug indictments

BLOUNTVILLE — A Kingsport pair accused of maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances are used or sold were among several indicted Wednesday on drug charges in Sullivan County.


Indictments handed down by the grand jury against Jimmy Ray Stewart, 60, 933 Robertson St., Kingsport, and Rick Youngblood Sr., 50, same address, included possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver and maintaining a place where controlled substances are used or sold.


According to an affidavit, an officer smelled marijuana while serving a subpoena on Youngblood on April 4 outside the residence. Youngblood said he’d just smoked some marijuana and threw it in the yard. He said he lived in an RV behind the home but was allowed free access to the home. Police took the pair to jail after finding 13 baggies of marijuana in the home.


Others indicted Wednesday and their charges were:


•Ronald Christopher McCarty, 22, 512 Woodmere Drive, Kingsport, possession of one-half gram or more of a substance containing cocaine for delivery or sale, possession of drug paraphernalia.


•Keith Bradley Eads, 35, 2251 Enterprise Road, Piney Flats, and Gwendolyn Michelle Culbertson, 29, same address, attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.


•Teddy Joe Berry, 26, Watterson St., Apt. 81, Kingsport, attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.


•Elizabeth Ann Morelock, 25, address unknown, attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud, possession of drug paraphernalia.


•Joseph Glenn Grosso, 21, 441 Emory Church Road, Kingsport, possession of marijuana, public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia.


•Russell Simmon Taylor, 19, 1220 Glenn Cliff Drive, Kingsport, and William Davis Bridges II, 31, 241 Parker St., Kingsport, possession of marijuana for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia. Taylor also was indicted on a light law violation and driving on a revoked or suspended license.


•Leonte Ward, 23, 1014 Terry Drive, Kingsport, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, speeding, driving on a revoked license.


•Gary W. Calhoun, 50, 441 Bradley St., Abingdon, Va., felony evading arrest, reckless driving, speeding, DUI, driving on a revoked license.


•Timothy Davenport, 39, 301 Hidden Acres, Kingsport, violation of Habitual Motor Offender Act, violation of seat belt law.


•Melissa Jene Reynolds, 37, 328 Madison St., Bristol, Va., theft over $1,000, theft of $500 or less, two counts of identity theft.


•Logan M. Rose, 20, 1805 King College Road, Apt. H6, Bristol, Tenn., forgery, identity theft, criminal simulation, theft over $500.


•Devon Ray Horne, 19, 5625 Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, two counts each of forgery and identity theft.


•Sharon Denise Gillespie, 42, 100 Ash Street, Apt. 2H, Bristol, Tenn., identity theft.


•Jessica Mychal Moore, 24, 1815 B Holston Drive, Bristol, Tenn., false report.


•Rakim Divine Hakeem, 43, 746 E. Sevier Ave., Kingsport, felony failure to appear.
