Two Kingsport residents arrested in connection with Johnson City robbery

Kingsport Police have arrested a man and woman wanted by Johnson City Police in connection to an aggravated robbery on Nov. 6, according to a KPD press release.



Norman Edward Pearman Jr., 33, and Rachel Grace Burrell, 32, of 207 Williams Rd., were arrested at their residence around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.



Pearman is charged with aggravated robbery. Burrell is charged with being an accessory to aggravated robbery and shoplifting.



According to a Johnson City Police Department release, Pearman and Burrell allegedly took merchandise from the Super K-Mart, 3019 Peoples Street. Pearman allegedly displayed a weapon outside the store when security attempted to detain the pair as they were fleeing.



Johnson City police met KPD officers at the Sullivan County/Washington County line to transport the pair to the Washington County Detention Center.



Det. Jason Abernathy is in charge of the Johnson City investigation.
