GRAY — Mitch Masters rushed for 174 yards on 31 carries as Daniel Boone shut out Greeneville 14-0 on Friday night in Five Rivers Conference action.
With the Trailblazer defense holding the Greene Devils to 88 yards rushing, Masters put the game out of reach for good in the third quarter with his 1-yard scoring crash. The Boone defense also collected two interceptions.
Nick Jones inaugurated scoring for Boone in the third quarter, hauling in a 16-yard pass from Spencer Wyatt. Jones also had two interceptions on the night for the ‘Blazers (2-0, 1-0). Wyatt passed for 43 yards and no pickoffs.
Jordan Greenway hit 13-of-31 attempts with 145 passing yards for the Greene Devils (1-2, 0-1), also leading the team with 47 yards rushing. Ryan Fillers led the receiver corps, getting four catches for 52 yards.

BLUFF CITY — The Vikings broke open a close contest with 19 fourth-quarter points to upend the Patriots in Mountain Lakes Conference action.
Jeff Baker put Tennessee High (1-1, 1-0) on top 6-0 in the third quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run.
Keenan Shepard added another TD run of 28 yards in the fourth quarter to extend the lead. The Vikes put the game on ice after a 2-yard touchdown run by Mason Canty and a 38-yard TD scamper by Matt Pendleton.
Tyler Gaby finally got Sullivan East (1-1, 0-1) on the board when he scored from six yards out.
Johnson County 27, Elizabethton 13
MOUNTAIN CITY — The Longhorns put up 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to down the Cyclones in Mountain Lakes action.
Christian Prudhomme finished with a pair of field goals and caught a 79-yard touchdown pass for Johnson County (1-1, 1-0). Austin Phipps scored on a three-yard run and a 28-yard interception return in the fourth quarter, while Jamie Lundy led the Longhorns’ defense with eight tackles.
Brett Price finished with 53 yards rushing and a touchdown for Elizabethton (1-2). Justin Fuqua opened the scoring for the Cyclones with a 16-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter.
