Judy L. Fannan, 50, of 116 Brooks Landing Circle, Rogersville, had to be extricated from her vehicle after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 26 between the Rock Springs Road and Eastern Star Road exits Tuesday afternoon, according to Kingsport Police.

She was traveling just below the posted speed limit at the time of the crash, according to KPD.

A driver two or three car lengths behind Fannan saw her vehicle veer off to the right, before it went over a dirt bank and struck a tree, rotated clockwise, and rolled once, KPD Officer Dale Farmer said.

Jaws of Life was used to cut the bar between the front and back seats on the driver's side to free Fannan.

Fannan, who was wearing her seatbelt, received non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Holston Valley Medical Center for treatment.
