Search of Bristol home nets three arrests on drug, weapons charges

Two Bristol, Va., residents and a wanted man from Michigan have been arrested by police on numerous drug and weapon charges.



According to the Bristol. Va., Police Department, a search warrant was executed at 701 Dixie Street on Monday. About $1,500 worth of crack cocaine, 40 OxyContin tablets with a street value of $1,600, a misdemeanor amount of marijuana, a small quantity of Lortab and $1,766 in cash were recovered.



A handgun and rifle confirmed as stolen from the state of Washington were also found in the home.



Three people were at the residence at the time of the search, and all have been charged. Cerhue Lebaron McDuffie, 27, of Detroit, was already wanted by Bristol, Va., Police. He was taken into custody on outstanding indictments for distribution of cocaine, distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and failure to appear in court. His bond was set at $6,000.



Amber Danielle Rankin, 20, of the residence, is charged with possession of OxyContin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of schedule I or II drugs, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and Lortab.



Gregory Owens, 26, also of the residence, is charged with possession of OxyContin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of schedule I or II drugs and possession of a stolen firearm.



Rankin and Owens bond was set at $30,000 each, with their preliminary hearing scheduled for July 26.
