Johnson City police have arrested Amber Gerwer, 2902 Browns Mill Rd., Johnson City and charged her with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $1,000.

A police department press release says the charges follow a burglary investigation where the suspect forced her way into a Johnson City home. Over $8,000.00 in property and cash was reported stolen in that burglary.

The press release does not list the location of the home invasion and theft.

Police found Gerwer in Elizabethton where she was arrested.

Gerwer is schedule to appear in Johnson City General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. Thursday.
