Tri-State Antique Power Association will begin the last day of its 14th annual Appalachian Antique Farm Show at 8 a.m. at the Appalachian Fairgrounds, Gray. Admission is $5. Children younger than 12 admitted free.


Spring Garden Fair will continue from noon to 5 p.m. at Exchange Place Living History Farm, Orebank Road, Kingsport. Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children.


Early voting for the Kingsport, Bristol and Bluff City municipal elections will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Election Commission Office, 3258 Highway 126, Blountville.


Kingsport Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a work session at 4:30 p.m. in the council room at Kingsport City Hall.


John Sevier Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade Warrior Band and sixth-grade band will present their spring concert at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium.


May 1 - Kingsport City Schools will register students for kindergarten from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parents should register their child at the school zoned for the family's residence.


May 1 - Kingsport City Schools will hold pre-kindergarten screenings from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. at Robinson Middle School for children who are Kingsport residents and who will be 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 30, 2007. Call Sarah Thomasson at 378-2171.

May 2 - Sunrise Rotary Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Downtown Kingsport Association. Richard Venable, chief executive officer of NETWORKS – Sullivan Partnership, will speak.

May 4 - Kiwanis Club of Kingsport will meet at noon at Americourt Hotel. Maranda Demuth will speak about the YMCA.


May 5 - Kingsport Farmers Market will hold its grand opening for the season at 8 a.m. at the parking lot next to Shelby Street, behind the Kingsport Public Library.


May 5 - Early voting for the Kingsport, Bristol and Bluff City municipal elections will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Election Commission Office, 3258 Highway 126, Blountville; at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium, 1550 Fort Henry Drive; and the YWCA of Bristol, 106 State St.


May 5 - ETSU will hold spring commencement exercises at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. in Memorial Center. Former U.S. Sen. Howard H. Baker Jr. will speak at the morning ceremony, and composer Kenton Coe will speak at the afternoon ceremony.


May 5 - Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 979, Kingsport, will hold a Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Parade beginning at 10 a.m. from intersection of Cumberland Street and Main Street, down Main to Clay Street, downtown Kingsport. Staging begins at 8:15 a.m.


May 5 - Sullivan County Animal Shelter, Massengill Road, Blountville, will hold its 2007 Adoptathon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


May 5 - Siberian Husky Assist Rescue and In His Hands Rescue will participate in the National Pet Adoptathon beginning at 11 a.m. at Pet Partners, 1962 W. State St., Bristol.
