Good Friday.


Kingsport city offices, demolition landfill, library, Renaissance Center and Senior Citizens Center will be closed for Good Friday. KATS will not operate. Kingsport garbage collection will continue on a regular schedule.


Sullivan County and Washington County, Tenn., offices closed for Good Friday.


Kingsport, Sullivan County and Hancock County schools not in session.


Lee County schools spring break through April 13.


Norton schools spring break through April 16.


Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct driver's license roadside safety checkpoints on State Route 66 and State Route 70 in Hawkins County through April 12.


Kiwanis Towers, 2701 E. Center St., Kingsport, will hold its annual bake and craft sale fund-raiser from 8 a.m. to noon.


Wellmont Health System's Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold a public blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital, Rogersville. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Call 224-5888.


Kiwanis Club of Kingsport will meet at noon at the Americourt Hotel for a roundtable.


Humane Society of Greater Sullivan County will hold an adopt-athon for abandoned bull mastiff puppies from 4 to 6 p.m. at PetSmart, Eastman Road, Kingsport.


Ralph Stanley Museum & Traditional Mountain Music Center will host Dr. Ralph Stanley's 80th birthday dinner and fund-raiser at 6 p.m. at MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center, Kingsport. Tickets are $100 per plate. Call (276)926-8550.


Kingsport Public Library and Senior Citizens Center will be closed for Easter weekend.


Dobyns-Bennett High School Junior Statesmen of America will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the school's Instrumental Music Building. Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey and U.S. Rep. David Davis will speak at 8:30 a.m. Also in attendance will be state Rep. Jon Lundberg, Kingsport Mayor Dennis Phillips, and former congressional candidate Dr. Phil Roe. Tickets are $10.


Washington County Soil Conservation District Youth Board will hold its annual Tree Day sale beginning at 9 a.m. at the district office, 1105 E. Jackson Blvd., Jonesborough.


Bloomingdale Ruritan Club will hold its Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Sullivan North High School, John B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport. Four age groups through 12 years old. Prizes awarded.


Family Easter Egg Hunt, presented by 98.5 WTFM, Food City and The Junction, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Memorial Park, Fort Henry Drive, across from J. Fred Johnson Stadium.


Easter Egg Hunt, presented by Kingsport Parks and Recreation, New Vision Youth, Riverview Resident Association, and Riverview Boys and Girls Club, will be held at 11 a.m. at V.O. Dobbins Park, Kingsport. Prizes awarded. Call 246-6623.
