Marsh Regional Blood Center holding emergency blood drive

Wellmont Health System's Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold an emergency public blood drive to replenish diminished supplies from 5:30 to 11:30 a.m. at BAE Systems, 4509 W. Stone Drive, Kingsport. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Call 224-5888.


The Kingsport Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at noon in the Bob Clear Conference Room, 201 W. Market St. Call Karen Combs at 224-2482.


Kiwanis Club of Kingsport will meet at noon at the Americourt Hotel, off Stone Drive, Kingsport. The Rev. Spurgeon McCartt will lead a Maundy Thursday program.


The Lonesome Pine Regional Library board of trustees will meet at 1 p.m. at the library in Wise, Va. The finance committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. to review monthly payables.

The Kingsport City Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m., at the Dobyns-Bennett Educational Foundation Alumni Hall.

Kingsport City offices, demolition landfill, library, Renaissance Center and Senior Citizens Center will be closed for Good Friday. KATS will not operate. Kingsport City garbage collections will continue on regular schedule.


Sullivan County and Washington County, Tenn., offices closed for Good Friday.


Kingsport City, Sullivan County and Hancock County schools not in session.


Lee County, Va., Schools spring break through April 13.


Norton City Schools spring break through April 16.


The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct driver license roadside safety checkpoints on State Route 66 and State Route 70 in Hawkins Count through April 12.


Kiwanis Towers, 2701 E. Center St., Kingsport, will hold its annual bake and craft sale fund-raiser from 8 a.m. to noon.
