Journey's End No Kill Animal Society will hold an adoption for special-needs, adult and senior cats from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at PetSmart, Eastman Road, Kingsport.


Kiwanis Club of Kingsport will meet at noon at the Americourt Hotel, off Stone Drive, Kingsport. JoAnn Paty will speak on the Pirates Club.


Sullivan County Soil Conservation District will hold a fund-raising sale of white pine seedlings and bare root ornamentals beginning at 9 a.m. at the Sullivan County Soil Conservation District Office, corner of Highway 126 and Oak Street, Blountville.

Fifth Saturday Cruisin' Broad will begin at 7 p.m. on Broad Street in downtown Kingsport. Open to all those who like to cruise.

The Survivors Club, open to those older than 70, will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship center at First Presbyterian Church, Kingsport. Hubert Gilliam will speak about his World War II experience in the Army Air Force and as a prisoner of war in Germany.


Greater Kingsport Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Ryan's Cafeteria, Memorial Boulevard, Kingsport. U.S. Rep. David Davis will speak.


Wellmont Health System's Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold a public blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. at Hiltons United Methodist Church. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Call 224-5888.


Gate City Economic Redevelopment Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at Gate City Town Hall.
