Washington County Commission work release committee will meet at 9 a.m. at the Detention Center, Jonesborough.


Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Preston Place II at 10 a.m. at 2303 N. John B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport.


Rogersville Park and Recreation Commission will hold a special called meeting at 10 a.m. at Rogersville City Hall, 106 E. Kyle St. The agenda includes considering rules and regulations of the skate park.


Washington County Library, Jonesborough, will offer story time for children 3 to 5 at 10 a.m. and for children 18 to 35 months at 11 a.m. with the theme "Har-E Hoppin' Tales."


Downtown Kingsport Optimist Club will meet at noon at the Americourt Hotel, off Stone Drive, Kingsport. Club member George Cole, a local artist, will demonstrate painting techniques.


Sullivan County Commission insurance committee will meet at 6 p.m. at the Sullivan County Courthouse, Blountville.


Scott County School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the school board office conference room, 261 E. Jackson St., Gate City.


Sullivan County Democratic Party will hold a county convention for reorganization at 6 p.m. at Sullivan Central High School, Blountville. Officers will be elected, the 2007 agenda will be discussed, precincts will be organized and ideas about future plans discussed. Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct driver's license roadblocks on Colonial Road and U.S. Highway 11-W in Hawkins County through April 3.


Sunrise Rotary Club will hold a club assembly at 7:30 a.m. at the Downtown Kingsport Association.


Wellmont Health System's Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold a public blood drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Northeast State Technical Community College, Blountville. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Call 224-5888.


First Tennessee Human Resource Agency's governing board/policy council/corporation will meet at noon at Bulington Park, 2203 McKinley Road, Suite 210, Johnson City.
