John Sevier Middle School band and orchestra will hold their instrument placement session for rising, Sevier-bound fifth-graders from 9 a.m. to noon at the school. Call 378-2450.


Bristol Regional Medical Center will hold Baby Fair 2007 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital's conference center.


Democratic Women of Sullivan County will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Rush Street Neighborhood Grill, Kingsport. Janet Meek will speak on her experiences at the anti-war march in Washington, D.C., and at Gov. Phil Bredesen's inauguration.


Mountain Empire Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, Johnson City.


Kingsport area Girl Scouts will present their annual International Tea at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium. Festivities will begin with a Parade of Flags and an opening ceremony celebrating the 95th anniversary of Girl Scouting at 12:45 p.m. Nineteen booths representing different countries will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free, and tickets, available for 10 cents each, may be exchanged for bites of food.


Rascals Teen Center, 125 Cumberland St., Kingsport, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a community open house from 4 to 6 p.m.
