Sunrise Rotary Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Downtown Kingsport Association. A Kingsport YMCA representative will speak.


Wellmont Health System's Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold a public blood drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scott County Career Center, Gate City. Donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Call 224-5888.


Scott County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. for lunch at the vocational school, Gate City. Jim Scott, superintendent of schools, and school board members will be present, and counselors from the three high schools will discuss the scholarships to be awarded in May by the association. Sullivan County Commission beverage board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Sullivan County Courthouse, Blountville.


Gate City Sanitation Authority will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Gate City Town Hall.

East Tennessee Environment Conference will begin at 9 a.m. at MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center, Kingsport, with a welcome address from Kingsport Mayor Dennis Phillips and opening keynote address by Jim Fyke, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Dr. Randy Wykoff, dean of the ETSU College of Public and Allied Health, will be the keynote speaker at 11:30 a.m. Sessions will last from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Washington County, Tenn., Commission budget committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the conference room at the Washington County Office Building, Jonesborough.Washington County Library, Gray, will offer story time for children 3 to 5 at 10 a.m. and for children 18 to 35 months at 11 a.m. with the theme "Over the Rainbow."Kingsport Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a called work session at 6 p.m. in the large courtroom at Kingsport City Hall, Center Street. The agenda includes receiving information on the higher education center.
