Suspect sought in Washington County, Tenn. stabbing death

Authorities were searching for at least one man in connection with a stabbing death Sunday night.

According to Washington County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Patrick Littleton, an unidentified male was stabbed at 128 Kenneth Foster Road, located in the South Central community, about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Littleton said the victim was pronounced dead at Johnson City Medical Center.

Authorities were waiting to inform the next of kin before releasing the name of the victim.

Littleton said the WCSO had the name of a possible suspect.

It was believed that the suspect fled the scene in a gold Saturn and was in the company of three other individuals - one female and two other males.

In addition to the WCSO, the Johnson City Police Department and Jonesborough Public Safety were looking for the car.

Littleton said he was not sure if the suspect was attempting to flee the area and stopped short of calling the other passengers in the car suspects.

He said the suspect may have fled to the Sugar Hollow area of the county, but nothing could be confirmed.

The WCSO Criminal Investigation Division was called to the scene and was interviewing witnesses and others. No motive could be given for the stabbing.
