Prep roundup: Lady Vikings come back in second half to down Lady Wildcats

POUND - Powell Valley outscored Pound 30-16 in the second half to earn a 47-35, come-from-behind Lonesome Pine District win Saturday.

The Lady Vikings (10-12, 6-8) rebounded from a loss Friday to enter postseason play on a positive note.

Brette Harding led Powell Valley with 12 points while Chabrae Roark added 10.

Junior center Kearsten Boggs paced the Lady Wildcats (10-12, 5-9) with a game-high 18 points.

(Late Boys Game) Tri-Cities Christian 52, Mountain Empire 49, OT

BLOUNTVILLE - Jeremy Williams scored 13 points to reach 1,000 for his high school career as Tri-Cities defeated Mountain Empire on Friday night.

The 6-foot-5 Williams, who reached his milestone just minutes into the game, also led the Eagles in rebounding with 15 boards and blocked six shots.

Tri-Cities (15-13) was led by Zach Lindamood with 18 points.

Mountain Empire's top scorer was Mark Wynegar with 19.
