N.C. man charged with having stolen property
Veterinary clinic employee accused of embezzlement
JOHNSON CITY - Johnson City police charged a North Carolina man late Thursday night with possession of stolen property. Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, officers arrested Michael Lynn Cavenaugh, 27, of Rose Hill, N.C., after initially stopping him at State of Franklin Road and Lake Street for a headlight violation and no license plate being visible on the vehicle. A records check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen in North Carolina. Cavenaugh was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in sessions court on Monday to answer to the charge.
JOHNSON CITY - A Johnson City woman was arrested Friday following a police investigation into embezzlement at an area business. According to reports, Mindy Bowman, 27, 1011 Johnson Ave., was charged with embezzlement over $500 for allegedly taking merchandise from Robinson's Animal Hospital, 202 W. Watauga Ave. Bowman was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in sessions court on Monday.
