HURLEY - Amber Farmer scored 17 points and pulled down 18 rebounds to lift the Ervinton girls basketball team to its first win of the season, a 53-50 non-district victory over Hurley.
The Lady Rebels (1-14) outscored the home team 21-14 in the fourth quarter and hit some key foul shots down the stretch to seal the win. Sarah McCoy added 14 points for Ervinton.
Tara Hall poured in 25 points for Hurley.
WASHBURN - Natalie Campbell scored 16 points and teammate Nakisha Johnson hauled down 12 rebounds in the Lady Indians' road victory.
Erin Hyde was the only Lady Pirates player to hit double figures, putting up 10 points.
HURLEY - Adam Kiser, Evan McCowan and Luke Rasnick scored 12 points each as Ervinton downed Hurley in the battle of the Rebels.
Ervinton (3-12) used a 14-6 third quarter to take control of the game.
Eric May scored a game-high 14 points for Hurley.
BLOUNTVILLE - Raymond Salyer blazed in 41 points for North Greene, but it wasn't enough to overcome the scoring tandem of Tyler Winters and Jeremy Williams.
Winters had 26 points, nine assists and seven steals while Williams had 21 points and 10 rebounds to power the Golden Eagles (10-11). Josh Holt added 15 points for Tri-Cities Christian.
SEYMOUR - Mark Winegar scored 16 points to lead Mountain Empire Baptist over Seymour Christian.
Hunter Stine added 14 points and Mike Wittleford 12 for Mountain Empire (8-5, 4-2).
Seymour Christian was paced by Brad Russel's 12 points.
