KINGSPORT - Broadway stars will join the Symphony of the Mountains Orchestra at the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce 60th Annual Dinner on Friday, Feb. 2, at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center.

The annual event combines good food, fellowship and top-notch entertainment, and has grown to become the largest chamber dinner in the nation. Last year, more than 1,200 people attended.

This year Broadway stars Raymond Saar, who has starred in "Phantom of the Opera" and "Les Miserables," and Diane Ketchie, who made her Broadway debut in "Phantom of the Opera," will join the Symphony of the Mountains Orchestra in a musical tribute to favorite songs of the Broadway stage and silver screen.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the program at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Tickets are $60 and can be purchased at the Kingsport Chamber, 151 East Main Street, downtown Kingsport, or by calling (423) 392-8800. The ticket includes dinner and the entertainment.

As a special offer, this year's Kingsport Chamber Annual Dinner ticket will also be good as a free ticket to any Symphony of the Mountains Orchestra concert during the 2007 season.

"The Kingsport Chamber Annual Dinner is always a great and entertaining evening," said Brad Hoover, 2006 Kingsport Chamber president and senior vice president for Citizens Bank. "It's a chance for people who love great music - especially Broadway music - to dress in their finest evening attire and be enthralled by world-class music while enjoying a great dinner."

During the event, Hoover will turn the Kingsport Chamber presidency gavel over to 2007 Kingsport Chamber President Tony Hewitt, the commercial development and community relations director with BAE Systems. The Kingsport Chamber will also celebrate its accomplishments of 2006 and look ahead to its 2007 agenda.
