Forest Fire in Southwest Virginia under control
Emergency dispatchers say a forest fire is under control between Washington County, Virginia and Russell County.
The U.S. Forest Service is expected to be at the scene for the next couple of hours. It has burned around five acres. The Goodson Kinderhook Fire Department also helped fight the fire which started around 4:30 Saturday Morning.
Emergency dispatchers say the fire is burning near Pennacle Road between route 802 and the swinging bridge.
