Police find lewd photos on boy's cell phone, Lebanon middle school teacher arrested

Published July 16th, 2009 | 7 Comments

According to the Bristol Herald Courier, an eighth-grade science teacher at Lebanon Middle School is being held without bail in Abingdon after police found "obscene and explicit" photos on a teenage boy's cell phone.

Connie Beth Klewer , 37, was arrested after the boy and his mother gave deputies photographs the suspect allegedly sent to the child by telephone and computer.

According to the Herald Courier, Chief Deputy Bill Watson would not say whether Klewer once taught the boy, but did confirm that the boy is younger than 15 years old.

According to a search warrant, deputies seized computers, cell phones and disposable cameras from Klewer’s home.

Klewer is charged with using a communications device to solicit a minor, buying alcohol for a minor, taking indecent liberties with a child while in a supervisory relationship, abuse and neglect of a child while being responsible for the care of a child and possession of child pornography.

Another pervert exposed in the school system.

I too, looked at the pic, and the teacher should be charged double, as she is twice the size of other teachers.

Wow. After viewing her picture, she should be jailed for child abuse. Something doesn't smell right.

*sigh* Yet another issue with a teacher and a student crossing a line that shouldn't have been crossed.

Small picture of her here.
Hrm- she must have been a serious flight risk for being denied bail.
