ROGERSVILLE — Several recent investigations in Hawkins County resulted in drug trafficking arrests, including a man accused of selling morphine and hydrocodone pills to an informant wearing a wire. Michael Perry Drinnon, 40, 149 Old Highway 11-W, Rogersville, was arrested Thursday on a warrant stemming from an April 23 Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office sting. According to the warrant filed by Detective Brad Depew, a confidential informant was sent into Drinnon’s residence wearing a wire. Investigators recorded the alleged transaction. When the informant returned to the detectives, they retrieved the pills he’d allegedly purchased from Drinnon. Drinnon was charged with sale and delivery of Schedule II narcotics and sale and delivery of Schedule III narcotics. Other recent HCSO drug busts include: •Kathy Darlene Coffey, 58, and Sharon Denies Robinson, 43, both of 2013 B-127 Brown Drive, Rogersville, who were arrested Wednesday evening after detectives received a tip there was meth at the residence. When deputies arrived at the residence they were invited in by Coffey, and both Coffey and Robinson signed a consent-to-search form. According to the arrest report, several items of drug paraphernalia were found throughout the residence including burnt tinfoil, pipes, razor blades, straws and items associated with manufacturing meth. Coffey had a bottle of Flexeril, which she allegedly stated she’d borrowed from a friend. In a back bedroom deputies found several pills believed to be Lortab and two small bags believed to contain meth in a prescription bottle with Robinson’s name on it. Coffey was charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics (Lortab) for resale, possession of Schedule IV narcotics (Flexeril) for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed or sold, and violation of the Tennessee Drug Control Act. Robinson was charged with possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale (meth), possession of Schedule IV narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule III narcotics, and violation of the Tennessee Drug Control Act. •Donna Carol Dean, 44, 543 Old Highway 11-W, Rogersville, was arrested Thursday morning after the HCSO executed a search warrant at her home and allegedly found 17½ pills believed to be Xanax, 21 unidentified pills, a loaded .45-caliber pistol and six quarts of moonshine. She was charged with possession of Schedule IV narcotics for resale (Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of untaxed whiskey, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed or sold, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. An arrest warrant was also issued for a male occupant of that residence who was not home when deputies arrived. •Monica Louise Gulley, 25, 222 N. Depot St., Rogersville, was arrested Friday morning on a warrant charging her with possession of Schedule III narcotics with intent to deliver dating back to March 27. The arrest occurred after Sgt. Chad Gillenwater had acquired a cell phone seized in a felony drug bust and received text on the phone offering to deliver drugs. A meeting was set up at the American Legion parking lot in Rogersville, where a male suspect identified as Jonathan Collis allegedly offered the deputy six pills identified as Lortab. The driver was Gulley, and police said Collis later made a statement that the pills belonged to Gulley and she’d thrown them into Collis’ lap when deputies approached the vehicle.

" Mr. Jones, thanks for tipping off the feds to what you got in your house."
Well, Early, do you want to call the revenuers, or should I? ;)
Jones, you truly are a fanatic.
The "sword" was a metaphorical reference to the Gospel...
He spoke against violence.
Uhm, I don't have moonshine or a firearm in my house. Well, there's no moonshine mostly because it wouldn't last that long. Mr. Jones, thanks for tipping off the feds to what you got in your house. LOL
Luke 7:33-34 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
John 2:14-16 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the moneychangers at their business. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and he poured out the coins of the money-changers, and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; you shall not make my Father's house a house of trade.
Luke 22:36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."
According to the Bible, Jesus not only drank wine, but he used a whip to drive out money changers, and advocated that his followers carry a sword.
"Who doesn't have moonshine, and a firearm in their home?" Jesus would be proud, pastor Jones.
High unemployment + doctors writing scripts + tenn care paying for them + addiction = Arrest!
6.9million Americans addicted to painkillers!
true if you dont have nice cars and a big house. or money your nothing in this world. But it dont bother me!!
Most these are great news, but the one with 17 1/2 Xanax pills, a gun, and a few quarts of moonshine is an absurd arrest and the "possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony" charge on a gun her own home just because she had a small number of Xanax is completely absurd. I hope she fights it. Who doesn't have moonshine, and a firearm in their home?
come on guys, we need to get all kinds of comments on this story. oh, i see, they don't own a business, or have nice cars. sorry.
