Johnson City man, his wife and brother charged in drug bust at home

A Johnson City trio face several charges related to the alleged sale of prescription medication from their home.

The arrests of Jack and Martha Whaley, husband and wife, and Jack's brother Michael Lynn Whaley, stem from a search warrant executed at 2206 North Greenwood Drive, according to 1st Judicial District Drug Task Force Director Jeff Dean.

Martha Whaley, 49, is charged with four counts of sale of schedule II drugs, possession of schedule II, III, and IV for resale and maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances are distributed or sold. Her bond is set at $80,000.

Jack Whaley, 65, is charged with sale of schedule II drugs, maintaining a dwelling where a controlled substance is distributed or sold and possession of schedule II, III and IV drugs for resale. His bond is set at $50,000.

Michael Lynn Whaley, 55, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and has been assigned a $1,000 bond.

At the time of their arrest, narcotics agents located over 100 pills of different types including Oxycontin, Suboxone, Xanax, Endocet, Lortabs and Diazepam.
