Eldredge and Shong

Sarah Kathryn Eldredge of Washington, DC (formerly of Kingsport) and Kyle James Shong of Washington, DC were married on September 24, 2016 at Chateau Selah in Blountville. The Rev. Dan Clark officiated at the 6:00 pm ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Diana Eldredge of Kingsport. She is the granddaughter of Berlina Kappa of Kingsport, the late Bill and Mary Ann Kappa, and the late Frances and Ned Eldredge.

The bridegroom is the son of Lee and Cindy Shong of Defiance, OH and the late Jodi Shong. He is the grandson of Helen Shong of Defiance, OH, the late Darwin Shong, and the late Joan and James Helland.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. Juliane Laskowski was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Laurel Hanscom, Amanda Wehner, Brooke Toluba, and Jessica Shong.

Matt Shong served as best man and the groomsmen were Jack Sinden, Paul Bezerra, and Michael Eldredge.

The bride graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and from the University of Virginia with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. She is employed at Tate & Tryon, CPAs and Consultants.

The bridegroom graduated from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and from Seton Hall University with a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy and International Relations. He is employed at the United States Agency for International Development.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Washington, DC.
