KINGSPORT — Bring your children to First Presbyterian Church in a few weeks to enjoy a pancake breakfast with one of Santa’s Helpers and to help raise funds for sheltering homeless families.

The event, the ninth annual Breakfast with Santa’s Helper, will be held in the fellowship hall of the church on Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Advance tickets are $5 for adults, $2.50 for children ages 3-12, kids under 3 eat for free. At the door, the price is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, coffee, orange juice and milk.

In addition to the pancake breakfast, Santa Milt will be on hand as Santa’s Helper for photos with kids and their families. Your children will also be given the opportunity to create simple holiday crafts or participate in other kid-friendly activities.

The Holiday Gift Shop will feature small gifts and decorations, suitable for teachers, a holiday hostess, or as a personal treat.

You can also become a Santa’s Helper’s Helper for a nominal fee ($10 for a place setting, $20 for a chair, $100 per table, or $250 for an exclusive Santa’s table patronage). It’s a great way to remember or honor a friend or family member.

Patronage forms must be turned in by noon on Nov. 12. You can find forms at or by contacting the Day Center.
