KINGSPORT — South Central Kingsport Community Development is inviting the community to its third career exploration and employment event later this week.

What to expect: This month’s employment topic is apprenticeships, which support opportunities for employees to “earn and learn.” RCAM offers Department of Labor registered apprenticeship programs in conjunction with several local employers. Employer representatives and RCAM staff will be on hand to discuss apprenticeship opportunities in the Tri-Cities.

Who will be there: The featured employers for this session are Silgan Plastic Closure Solutions, Brock, and Eastman. Staffing representatives will be available to provide employment information and answer questions about the employment process.

Who should attend: The event is open to anyone re-entering the workforce and those who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change. Recent high school and college graduates are also welcome, and assistance with resumes and applications will be available upon request.
