If so, Warriors Path State Park will be giving you the chance to live out that fantasy in a couple weeks during its annual Folklife Festival.
The free event will celebrate “the good old days” in this region with live music, storytelling, life skills demonstrations, traditional crafts, games and more.
About the event
The 39th annual festival, which will be held July 28 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will help attendees gain new insights into those who lived here many years ago.
Old traditions, including weaving, woodcraft, apple butter-making, spinning and basketry, will be demonstrated by volunteers throughout the day, and children can enjoy some old-timey games, without the gadgets and store-bought toys that are popular today.
All activities will be held in or near the park’s recreation building on Duck Island.
