Virginia Tech running back Tony Gregory's career over after second tear of his left ACL

BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech head athletic trainer Mike Goforth announced Thursday that running back Tony Gregory has retorn his left ACL and his career with the Hokies is effectively over.

Offensive lineman Mark Shuman has a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee which will require surgery and keep him out four to six weeks.

Outside linebacker Ronny Vandyke miss the season due to shoulder surgery.

Running back J.C. Coleman is nursing sprains in both ankles with hopes of returning in time for the Alabama game while offensive lineman Augie Conte may miss Saturday’s scrimmage due to an ankle sprain.
