Minor hits ace during pro-am (with results)

BIG STONE GAP — Retired PGA professional Luther Minor, a Big Stone Gap native, made a hole-in-one Monday during the Tri-Cities Pro-Am at Lonesome Pine Country Club.

Minor, who now lives in Fairview, Va., used a pitching wedge to ace the 120-yard sixth hole at LPCC.

The shot was Minor’s fifth career hole-in-one. It was witnessed by Fred Minor, Harless Minor and Argill Jenkins.
